The AI panel runs an agent with tools. It can read, write, edit and multi-edit files, search with grep and glob, and run shell commands behind an approval step.

Plan mode

For multi-step work, the agent generates a plan and asks you to confirm before it acts.

Custom agents

Define agents with their own system prompt and a subset of tools.

AI edits

Edits show as diffs in the editor. Accept or reject each hunk.
